About me
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to look at my website. I hope it provides a better understanding of the services, driving lessons and courses I am able to provide.

Here is a little bit about me:

I am currently a Potential Driving Instructor (PDI), trading on my trainee licence working towards my ADI certification. I am able to provide manual lessons within the Taunton, Bridgwater and surrounding areas.

Prior to becoming a driving instructor I spent the last fifteen years in senior management roles within the transport sector looking after a range of sites and of course a wide variety people including drivers operating trains, HGV’s, taxis and buses, to name a few! I still retain my class 1 HGV licence, so expect lots of safety tips whilst driving around large vehicles!

During this time it has allowed me to work with a range of colleagues and clients. Training was a big part of my previous job role and I worked with a number of individuals with additional learning needs such as anxiety or dyslexia. Training my colleagues with additional learning needs was very rewarding as we worked together to find ways to overcome challenges.

After leaving the transport sector I did start the path of becoming a DVSA examiner passing all the tests, then quickly realised my passion lies with training. I knew that becoming a driving instructor would be more suited to me. I joined LDC to complete my instructor training for a variety of reasons; however the LD system is a great asset and a unique selling point for LDC instructors. We have a structured learning plan that is easy to follow and I'm fully integrated into the LDC system with all the benefits this brings for me and you.

I am passionate about road safety and the safety of my students, while sharing knowledge and best practise to enhance lessons and develop road craft.

I am sometimes described as the BFG – ‘big friendly giant’ (I am rather tall!), always creating a fun, friendly and trustworthy relationship for my clients that will make lessons enjoyable. My hobbies outside of work consist of scuba diving and following the mighty Aston Villa.
